Elizabeth (Beth) Balkite is Genetics Education Advisor for
GlaxoSmithKline, Inc, in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina,
USA. At GSK she is responsible for development and delivery
of genetics education programs for internal and external audiences.
Prior to joining Glaxo in 1998, Beth was the Quality Manager
for Genzyme Genetics clinical operations for five years. She
is a board certified Genetic Counselor and counseled families
in Connecticut for over 12 years at Yale University School
of Medicine, University of CT, a community hospital and in
private practice.
She is a graduate of Connecticut College and received her
MS in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville,
NY. Beth currently serves on the advisory board of the Sarah
Lawrence College, Human Genetics Program and is a member of
the NCHPEG (National Coalition for Health Professional Education
in Genetics) Board of Directors. |
