Rosemary is currently Manager, Prevention & Perinatal Health at
the Department of Human Services Victoria. This position includes responsibility
for the management of the genetics program, cancer screening, immunisation
programs, infertility programs, public health training and perinatal
data collection. She is a medical graduate of the University of Melbourne
(1980), and after some years in general practice, was the Medical Officer
of Health for the City of Melbourne from 1986 to 1989. She entered the
Department in 1989, and completed the Public Health Training Scheme.
She was awarded a Master of Public Health from Monash University in 1992.
In the same year, she was awarded a Victorian Health Promotion Foundation
Overseas Fellowship, which led to the award of a Master of Science (Epidemiology)
degree in 1993 from the University of California Los Angeles. She was
made a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine in
1994.
