There are several satellite and associated conferenes that will
be held before or after the Congress at various locations in Australia.
The following tours have been designed for delegates attending these
conferences and the Congress.

Saturday July 5th

Depart Lorne at 9am and travel along the Great Ocean Road,
passing towering cliffs,
breathtaking forest scenery and expansive sandy beaches. Lunch
would be taken at
Lavers Hill prior to the stop at the Melba Gully rainforest
and then to the Shipwreck
Coast. The afternoon would feature the famous coastal rock
formations of Loch Ard Gorge, Twelve Apostles and The Arch.

Sunday July 6th
After breakfast travel around to Logans Beach where the remarkable
Southern Right Whales and their calfs gather to frolick in the surf
between June and October. Having been hunted nearly to extinction
their survival and increased frequency of sightings is another attraction
to the district. Mid-morning travel the inland road through to the
state's second largest city, Geelong. Enjoy lunch and a guided tour
of the historic National Wool Museum before the late afternoon arrival
in Melbourne.

Friday June 27th (or earlier)
Arrive Australia (Melb/Syd/Brisb).
Saturday June 28th
Take domestic flight from nominated city to Alice Springs in Central
Australia. After check in at The Diplomat Hotel enjoy an afternoon
tour of Standley Chasm and Simpsons Gap, clefts in the imposing
MacDonnell Ranges to the west. The tour concludes at Anzac Hill
where panoramic views of Alice Springs are afforded.
Sunday June 29th

An early rise for the transfer by road to Uluru (Ayers Rock). Located some
450 kilometres from Alice Springs, the world's greatest monolith
rises 348 metres above the desert floor. Arrive early afternoon
at campsite and after lunch visit The Olgas, a cluster of
massive rounded rocks. Take a walk through the 'Valley of
the Winds' before the spectacular sunset viewing of Uluru.
Dinner around the campfire and camping accommodation under
the stars conclude the day's program. |
Monday June 30th
Another early rise for sunrise climb of Ayers Rock followed by
tour of the base caves. The 1.6 kilometre climb is not for the unfit
and is quite strenuous. As it follows an important religious track,
the traditional owners prefer that visitors take other discovery
walks. Early afternoon transfer to airport for flight to Cairns
where you'll arrive late afternoon. Transfer to your accommodation
at Palm Cove. This beach side resort is set idyllically with a golden
sand and palm fringed beach at your doorstep.
Tuesday July 1st

Tour of Great Barrier Reef. Meet in reception around 7.45am (time will be confirmed)
for the coach connection to the jetty where you'll board the
boat. Travel to the outer reef and snorkel and swim amongst
the fish and coral. Late afternoon arrival at Paradise Village. |
Wednesday July 2nd
After breakfast, tour concludes and meeting commences.

Friday July 4th
Depart Brisbane at 7.30am aboard the XPT for a full day's rail
travel. Head south to the Australia's largest industrialised city,
Newcastle beautifully positioned on a stunning harbour before arrival
into Sydney at 9.50pm.
Saturday July 5th

Escape the city for a day in the secluded wilderness of the Blue Mountains.
In a 4WD vehicle travel the back roads and take in the stunning
cliff and valley views as well as the imposing forest of eucalypts. |
Sunday July 6th
 |
Spend the morning touring the country's largest city and undoubtedly one of
the world's most stunning harbours. The tour takes in the
city, Manly and the Northern beaches. Capture the beauty and
lifestyle of the harbour city from specially selected vantage
points. A highlight of the tour is the luncheon cruise on
Sydney Harbour where you'll be introduced to the intriguing
history, character and points of interest.
At conclusion of tour, transfer to airport for flight to Melbourne. |
